It's almost like not a big deal. What's wrong with our society? I don't think this girl should be arrested though and charged with guy pornography and possibly have a SEX OFFENDER RECORD! That's outrageous. She's only 14. A 18 year-old girl can post all the nude photos she wants of herself on the internet and it's fine. If anything, this girl needs counseling. She obviously has some self-esteem issues and didn't think about the consequences of posting these pictures. Now if someone over 18 had taken the pics. then yes, they should get arrested. She took them herself though. I'm sure she didn't even know that it was illegal. I think they should just make a law that guys under 18 can NOT take nude photos of themselves (even on a camera phone) and the penality should not be jail. It could be community service (as a detterant) and definitely required counseling. However, they shouldn't even be handcuffed. They should be issued a ticket and told they have to go to court in which time the judge will decide if the youth needs community service and counseling or just counseling. And all schools starting from like fifth graders should have a police officer and/or a counsler come in and talk to ALL students about that taking these photos is ILLEGAL not just not a good idea. I feel bad for this girl. I'm sure she has some major issues and she must be scared to death thinking she could go to jail! THIS IS SO SAD! |

| We have a case in CA currently going to court, where a 18 year old was caught having sex with his 15 year old girlfriend over 30 years ago, when there was no "sex offender" registry or Jessica's law. He pled guilty, was fined $50, and went on his way. Two years later he married the girl, and they now have three guyren and several grandguyren. Last year he got a DUI. Under "Jessica's Law" *any* crime committed by someone who has previously committed a crime that would today be classified as a sex offense causes that offense to be re-activated and the offender registered. As a result, he has to sell his house and move. He cannot live within 2,000 feet of any school or park, which pretty much means he can live only in rural areas of the State. Richard |

| My parents had this policy as it related to drinking and drugs. If any of my sibblings and I wanted to experiment with drugs or alcohol we were permitted to just as long as we did it at home and not out in the street. At least if you engaged in that kind of thing under my parents roof you knew what you were using and you could be rushed to the hospital in the event that something catastrophic happened. If you did that stuff at a house party or in the street somewhere you were more likely to get some bad substances in the drugs or you were likely to drink some alcohol laced with some other dangerous drug. Come to think of it, when I was little I recall times when I would go into my cousin's room early Saturday morning to watch cartoons only to find his girlfriend in the bed. My uncle must have had a similar policy. |

| That would probably stop them from ever wanting to even encounter sex. Those photo's made me almost vomit. But sex education should be improved and they should show it maybe not to say that you can't have sex before your married but rather show what happens when you sleep around, it would probably encourage people to stop having sex with random people or cheating on their husbands or boyfriends and just trying to find that one person that makes them happy, instead of indulging in a life of self-pleasure and satisfaction and never finding that one person that completes them. It will also encourage safe sex, something which a lot of people don't do or even consider. |
