Would a trench coat work on a teen? I found a light tan trench coat in my Dad's wardrobe that he never wears and I quite like it (yes go ahead and laugh about wearing your Dad's clothes). I was thinking of wearing it around college in the winter, I'm quite tall and it goes down to my knees.
Do you think it could work on a 17 year old? Or should trench coats be left to detectives and flashers? | You can make it look good. Tan goes with a lot and if it's thin enough put a cute belt around it like they did on the KathyLee and Hoda show on make over-Friday.
Lol oh! well in that case forget the cute belt!
I do like trench coats on guys with button down shirts. =D
I think you'll still look good in it. | What lb test should i use for a leader in either mono or flourocarbon? I,ll be trolling for Rainbows Cutthrout German Browns Mackinaw but not at the same time theres even Catfish in the lakes. The size of fish are anywhere from 0 to 20+ lbs more common size would be in the teens for big ones .I have 30lb test powerpro as my mainline to the flashers or Dipsy Diver then from there the leader to the lure or bait. I,ll be fishing year round so it will be from freezing to hot | James: Generally speaking, the greater the diameter of your leader the more it will reduce the action of your lure. Therefore it is to your advantage to use the smallest diameter leader that will get the job done. The fluorocarbons are known for their high strength to diameter ratio, although they may not be as tough, and abrasive resistant as some of the quality mono lines.
Since you will be trolling (I assume in open water), and therefore should not be concerned about rock and brush abrasion, it seems using fluorocarbon leader would be much to your advantage. Since most 20# fish can be relatively easily landed on 15# mono, I suggest you start with 15# fluorocarbon. That should build in a good safeguard against line breakage, and still give you a leader that will be close to, or better than, the diameter of 12# mono. With experience, you can then adjust up or down.
Hope this is of help! Good luck Cbill |
